So, our truck breaks down at our campsite. It's out in the sticks so there is very little cell coverage. However, if we stand in one particular spot we can get a feeble cell signal. So, I call AAA and they tell me that a truck will be out in an hour. We wait an hour and nothing. So, I call back. They tell me that it's going to be another hour. So, after another hour, I call back again. They tell me that it's going to be longer so I ask for the number of the garage that they called. I call the garage and they tell me that they only got the call ten minutes ago. So, what have AAA been doing for two hours? Eating donuts??? Anyway, so now I can communicate with the garage directly I tell them exactly where we are. They tell me that that wasn't the location that AAA gave them. Good thing I'm talking to them directly. Finally the flatbed shows up and the guy tells me that the truck he brought is too small for an F250. AAA didn't tell him it was an F250 when I specifically told them what it was. We were able to get the truck on the flatbed but he had to drive very slowly. All in all, I would say this was a disaster. I've had good experiences with them in the past so I'm hoping this isn't the new norm. Also, make sure you get the number of the Garage AAA sent out so you can talk to them directly. I won't trust them again.
It's been a year since my last review of the AAA in Hamden, CT. This time I went to have a document notarized. Still a good, airy, organized, plenty of parking to visit and do business with. Sad that there's no DMV office there anymore! The staff was helpful with my needs. Not busy at the time so I didn't have long to wait.

We have always found the staff and service professional and very helpful. This past year we received service both for travel planning and passport pictures. Both female service staff were absolutely wonderful in their patience, courtesy and service.
