The Dentist was very rude to my son who needed an extraction. I will not return to this location. Bring your kids to a Dr who has compassion.
I was Disappointed. I recently moved to Hamden so I wanted My 3 sons to go to a dentist in our area. I called Monday afternoon to schedule a new patient appointment. The receptionist asked what days do I prefer I said Weekends. Then she said that they are booked up but have an appointment the next day. I said I was Skeptical about taking it. I was Assured I’d be able to cancel if need be. The day of the appointment I tried To cancel the staff said to me “Unmmmm you know this is a big inconvenience we need more than 24 hours notice call back when you’re ready “ Click. I called Back and said you know what I’m going to bring them. She made me feel like I inconvenienced everyone. I arrive to the appointment my children were called into separate rooms which I wasn't happy about because my kids are young. I cant Be in two places at once. My 4 yr old had a tv over head where the Steve Wilkos show played real appropriate. Then my oldest son was two rooms down my middle son followed me back and forth my middle son leaned over his broTher to see his teeth getting brushed and was asking questions. The dentist ignored him the whole time and asked him to move away. Then when it was my middle sons turn he was the last one the dentist basically kicked my kids out of the room they put two chairs in the hall then a different dental assistant walks by and goes oh no chairs in the hall and took the chairs away. I honestly thought to myself how this place is not kid friendly. The cleanings took a total of 5-8 minutes each. The cleanings weren’t the problem the service with the kids is my problem I have Sweet boys and curious boys. If you specialize with kids remember they’re kids act like a child dentist but then when I was Leaving the dentist the regular patients with kids the staff was professional and eager so maybe just depends on the client and family thank you for the cleanings I will Not be returning
The doctors are very nice and the support staff is also friendly. They called me 4 times to remind me of my appointment within 2 days
This was my first visit to Dr. Dental. Typically I dread going to the dentist. However, everyone there made me feel so comfortable that going to the dentist doesn't seem so bad anymore. They were very friendly and professional. I recommend going there, especially if you're the type of person who is nervous about seeing a dentist.
