Great outdoor destination close to shoreline.
Trails abound. A jewel of New Haven not nearly overrun nor overwhelmed by outdoor enthusiasts. Wide variety of spaces available for all levels of hikers, walkers, bikers, and cross-country skiers. During the summer months NH Parks & Rec has events and programs run here. In addition there is a Great Mountain Bike race series West Rock Super Prestige #WRSP hosted here by our local Laurel Bicycle Club (est 1972) which draws youth new to the racing scene through CCAP as well as masters riders into their 60s.
It was a super great experience, the nature all very natural, I highly recommend it
