I am shocked by some of the negative reviews. I have used PB in Hamden for all my car issues for years. I have had everything done from four new tires, rotated and balanced to replacing a power steering rack. Work was done timely and prices were good.
These guys saved our butts. We were on a long road trip on a Friday night and heard a loud rattling noise coming from under the car. Their mechanics had gone, but their service technicians were able to take a quick look and verify the issue. After a quick, safe, band-aid fix, we were back on the road and able to schedule an appointment with a car dealership service center the next day for the real deal fix. Great, friendly, and fast service from the guys at this Pep Boys!
Staff is very helpful, but there are hardly ever enough people to cover registers and a sizable line to buy anything. Wait times on mechanic service are usually reasonable.
I went online and purchased 4 tires and set up an appointment to have them installed on the same day!!! I also got a deal on a wheel alignment and the service was top notched and best of all, no one tried selling me any services I didn't need. Thanks for everything!

It sucked. I dropped my car off. It sat for 3 hours. I was told 5 mins before I was supposed to pick it up and closing time. That my car was not ready. It had not been touched in the whole four hours. The manager told me that family comes first. Well who's? Family, because I have a family too. So that meant what to me. I took my tired that was brought front the stroller and went else where...
